CALS had to be turned off for a few hours today, approx. between 13:30 CET and 15:15 CET, because the cooling to the server room failed.

Currently, it is back up thanks to a temporary solution of sucking cold air from an open window (it's freezing outside) into the server room with what looks like a machine to fill a bouncy castle. Noisy, lovely stuff.

The spare parts are expected to be here this evening and will be installed by the end of tomorrow at the latest.

2017-03-16 09:59 Server working again, time to switch away from apache

So: after the server upgrade a few days ago, after several restarts of everything, new versions, everything was working, happy puppies and sunshine. And then, after all that, the apache module that talks to CALS starts throwing hissy fits. I'm not going to dig into how something like that is even possible; I will do my best to get CALS weaned off apache instead.

As you can see, things are back up, still using a version of the badly behaviored apache module, just hand-compiled this time. I hope to spend some time soonest to switch over to something else.
